The Loop

I've recently been reading about the benefit of being in control of forming habits and this wonderful loop: Action, Inspiration, Motivation.

When we're feeling unmotivated, it can be tough to even think about getting started on something, let alone actually doing it. But the loop of action, inspiration, and motivation is a powerful tool that can help us break out of our rut. And the first step in that loop is simply taking action. Although the beauty of the loop is you could really start anywhere in it.

The thing about the loop of action, inspiration, and motivation is that it doesn't have a specific starting point. You can start anywhere in the loop, and as you move through it, each element feeds into the next. So, even if you're feeling unmotivated, taking action can help you jumpstart the loop and get the ball rolling.

Taking action doesn't have to be a huge, monumental task. It can be something small, like making your bed, doing a load of laundry, or sending an email. The point is to do something, anything, to break the cycle of inaction and start building momentum.

Once you take that first step, you might start to feel a spark of inspiration. Maybe you'll think of another small task you can do, or maybe you'll start to feel more energized and motivated to tackle something bigger. As you continue to take action, the inspiration and motivation will grow, creating a positive feedback loop that fuels your progress.

Of course, taking action isn't always easy. It can be hard to find the motivation to even get started. That's why it's important to remember that the first step is just that: a first step. It doesn't have to be perfect, it doesn't have to be big, it just has to be something. And once you take that first step, you'll be on your way to breaking out of your rut and achieving your goals.

The loop of action, inspiration, and motivation is a powerful tool for breaking out of a cycle of inaction and achieving your goals. And the first step in that loop is simply taking action, wherever you are in the loop. Whether you're feeling motivated or not, just starting can be enough to get the ball rolling and start building momentum. So, the next time you're feeling unmotivated, remember: take action, and let the loop do the rest
